Boy aged FIFTEEN is arrested over hit-and-run death of pregnant pre-school teacher, 21, whose baby was delivered but later died too

A 15-year-old boy has been arrested in the fatal hit-and-run death of a pregnant California pre-school teacher and her baby.
April Zoglauer, 21, was 27 weeks pregnant when she was struck by the stolen Hyundai in San Jose last Tuesday.
Zoglauer was rushed to hospital where an emergency C-section was carried out.
She died of her injuries but doctors were able to deliver the boy, Devontae Aaron Zoglauer. The premature baby died the following day.
The teenage driver, who has not been identified, was arrested on Saturday – four days after fleeing the crash at Blossom Hill Road and Winfield Boulevard. Two other occupants of the car are still on the run.

Police were able to identify the suspect after an investigation, the stolen car had not been reported by the time of the crash.
A memorial was set up at the Play ‘N’ Learn Preschool in San Jose, where Zoglauer worked.
She had begun working there as a teenager as a volunteer, helping to assists with classes to give teachers a break.
Zoglauer was known to be able to help calm children who were trying to adjust to school without parental supervision.
‘I’ve never had somebody else who could do that job, not the way she could do it,’ said Tammy Lariz, who runs the school.
‘She was a blessing … She meant everything to us.’

Friends and family said that Zoglauer was obsessed with discussing her future, her baby and a planned trip to Hawaii.
Everyone who worked at Play ‘N’ Learn had seen Zoglauer grow from a teenager and constantly asked about her pregnancy, according to the San Jose Mercury News.
Lariz started a GoFundMe in the name of Zoglauer and her infant son Devontae.
‘He was loved fiercely during his brief time here on earth and will be deeply missed,’ she wrote.
As of Monday, the GoFundMe has passed its goal of $20,000 to ‘help cover funeral expenses, medical bills, and provide some financial stability for her family at this time.’
