Brazilian influencers spark outrage after stripping off in front of Eiffel Tower in bizarre bikini stunt | The Sun

TWO Brazilian influencers have sparked outrage after footage showed them stripping down to bikinis in front of the Eiffel Tower.

Footage shows Gabriela Versiani, 24, and Gabily, 27, being approached by police officers after they were spotted semi-naked in Paris.

The pair, who had come up with the stunt to promote their bikini business, were quickly ordered to cover up on October 31.

The move was met with fierce backlash online when the models posted the footage and images on their Instagram pages.

In the clip, the girls are seen removing their long black coats to reveal red bikinis while a third girl wears a blazer that barely covers her bum.

They are surrounded by stunned crowds of tourists as well as families.

Suddenly a group of officers approaches before a policewoman steps forward and appears to tell the women to cover up.

“We said 'ah, but it's a bikini'.”

“I even said 'lady, it's because we have a bikini business'."

Vanessa went on to explain that the police officers informed them that it is against the law to take semi-nude photos in front of a tourist destination.

People online said the models should be 'ashamed' of their actions while others said they had 'crossed the line'.

One commented: "I don't understand why they don't go to the Caribbean or the pool if you want to promote your brand. Now in Paris and worse the Tower. Your content is totally useless."

Another said: "Sometimes sense has to come before marketing."

However, some showed support for the girls' stunt.

One added: "I don't think I [sic] walk around Paris in a bikini, if I had this bikini, this body and the ticket I would also do it lol PERFECT."

The confrontation came to light in a video posted on Instagram by Luane Dias, 28, a Brazilian television personality who happened to be filming at the same time.

Luane captures the exact moment the two influencers manage to get a few snaps in before making attempts to cover up.

She then adds: “I’m glad I’m not with them.”

Last month a tourist sparked outrage after posing naked in front of an Italian cathedral.

Brit Jemma Hopson, 29, is said to have helped Canadian model Savahnna Cross, 28, with the risque stunt on the iconic steps in Amalfi, Italy.

An online clip showed a bare-bottomed Ms Cross outside the 900-year-old cathedral while a woman fanned out her red cover-up.

The mystery assistant is believed to be Ms Hopson – who claims to work for West Yorkshire Police.
