The grisly details of the final moments of Perth mother Nardia Spice’s life before she was allegedly bludgeoned to death by three of her housemates have been revealed in court.
WA Police claim the 40-year-old was murdered by couple Zachariah Brough and Eve Marsh and a 24-year-old man on September 23 after being lured to a Byford dog park around 3am under the guise of sex work.

During a bail application hearing for Jesse Jones, who is accused of helping to dispose of the body after the death, the Perth Magistrate Court heard Spice was hit on the back of the head and had her hands cable tied before she was wrapped in plastic, bundled into a car boot and then buried in a bush grave.
Jones claimed before the death, she drove Spice to the park and slept in the car as she waited to drive her home again. She said she woke to her housemates putting Spice’s body in the boot and was threatened she would “get the same” if she didn’t drive to Jarrahdale bushland and help conceal the body.
Jones has no prior criminal history. A magistrate is yet to decide whether to grant her bail.
After news of Spice’s death spread, Brookdale woman and friend Courtney Muir paid tribute to her.
“She was a very nice person, she was a mum to a lot of us, I feel very sorry for all her daughters and sons,” she told Nine News Perth.
WA Police homicide squad acting detective senior sergeant Sam Hazlitt said Spice was a mother of six who lived a transient lifestyle.
She was reported missing by another housemate 10 days later, on October 3, and police inquiries resulted in her body being discovered on October 7.
Hazlitt alleged the murder was pre-planned and motivated by “interpersonal conflict”.
“It is a highly complex and dynamic investigation,” he said.
“The victim has parents and a family who are obviously grieving for her.
“[Spice] was in constant contact, or very regular contact with her children and it was out of character for her not to be in contact with them.”
