EXCLUSIVE: Coleen Rooney puts her £3m WAGatha Christie libel trial behind her by donning a leopard print bikini and relaxing by the pool with husband Wayne at the couple’s £600-a-night Dubai hotel

Coleen Rooney soaks up the sunshine while relaxing by the pool on her luxury family holiday in Dubai after escaping the pressures of her £3million Wagatha Christie High Court libel battle with Rebekah Vardy.
Wearing a leopard skin bikini, she clearly enjoyed her break her husband Wayne Rooney and their four sons along with her parents in a five star hotel.
Looking tanned and at ease, she appeared happy to have swapped the heat of being grilled in court for the soaring 39C temperatures at the tourist hotspot.
Coleen, 36, and her family arrived last Thursday at the spectacular Jumeriah Al Qasr hotel which boasts a Presidential Suite with three bedrooms costing around £7,000 a night.
The Rooneys flew out from Manchester after skipping the last day of the so-called Wagatha Christie libel trial which gripped Britain.

Coleen and Wayne had spent seven days in London’s High Court as she rebutted claims that she had libelled Rebekah, the wife of Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy.
The mother-of-four had accused Rebekah, 40, of leaking stories to The Sun about her family after entrapping her in a notorious ‘sting operation’ on Instagram
Coleen topped up her tan on a wooden sunbed at the beachside hotel while former England star Wayne, 36, seemed to favour staying in the shade in his shorts and T shirt.
The couple were also spotted dining al fresco, supping drinks and daubing sun cream on sons Kai, 12, Klay, nine, Kit, six, and Cass, four, to protect them from the harsh rays.
Coleen’s parents Tony and Colette McLoughlin were also seen playing with their grandsons in the pool.
Another guest at the hotel said: ‘It was fantastic to see them enjoying a well deserved break after being under the spotlight at the High Court.
‘Coleen appeared completely at ease and seemed happy to have some quality time away from it all with her family. She and Wayne are just down to earth people.
‘They did not put on any airs and graces, and spent a relaxed few days enjoying the sunshine and the beautiful surroundings of the hotel.’
The Rooneys are thought to have paid around £1,300 a night for one of the hotel’s private villas close to the beach. The villas include the services of a butler.
The hotel which opened in 2004 features horse statues along with waterfalls and other decorative features including marble pillars adorning its grounds.
It has its own private beach, a swimming pool and an infinity pool set in manicured gardens with hedges grown to protect the privacy of villa guests.

A spa at the hotel offers massages, hair and nail treatments as well as eyebrow tinting and threading and ‘eye lash extensions’, but it is not known if the facility was visited by Coleen.
The resort which has 292 rooms starting at around £700 a night employs top chefs from across the world to provide Lebanese, Italian, Thai and French dishes in separate restaurants.
It has views of the seven-star Burj Al Arab hotel – Dubai’s most iconic hotel – and is surrounded by waterways with boat operators dressed in traditional Arab clothing ferrying families around.
Security is tight with plentiful CCTV cameras, making the hotel a favourite destination for celebrity and well-heeled guests who leave Rolls Royces, Ferraris, Porsches, and other expensive motors in the car park.
The Rooneys enjoyed breakfasts inside their villa before emerging to spend their days beside the pool, ordering food from waiters.

They also went to the resort’s Wild Wadi waterpark where the children swam and enjoyed the thrills of the slides which safely plunged them into waterfalls.
Coleen managed to remove the ankle boot on her left leg, which she had worn every day in court, as she sunbathed and enjoyed her holiday.
But her eldest son Kai was seen walking around the exclusive resort, with a leg in an identical ankle boot.
Derby County manager Wayne stayed largely out of the sun and spent much of the time in the shade.
He cut a brooding figure as he lurked in the background and avoided the pool, wearing a white baseball cap with a ‘V’ emblem, a brown shirt and beige shorts with turtle patterns.
But he did accompany his family to the water park as they enjoyed the thrill of the attractions.
He and Coleen were later seen laughing together as he skilfully used chopsticks while they tucked into a poolside meal.
The couple also managed to enjoy pints of beer and were seen smiling as they watched their sons having fun the pool with Coleen’s parents.
But despite being on holiday, they could not escape the lure of checking their mobile phones.
Coleen’s father was seen practicing throw-ins in the water with Klay who has shown signs of footballing brilliance and participated in a junior tournament last month.
Another onlooker said: ‘They have blended in really well. It is great to see they are just like everyone else and need a good holiday.
‘Coleen looks in great shape, but Wayne has put on a few pounds and hasn’t taken his T-shirt off once.’
Wayne was happy to chat with other holidaymakers and at one stage spoke with a group of football fans from Yarm, North Yorkshire.
One said he asked Wayne, England’s all-time greatest goal scorer, about what lay behind his old club Manchester United’s lack of silverware this season.
Wayne checked the questioner’s phone was not recording and then said ‘Off the record’ before giving his views to the fan, who turned out to be a Liverpool supporter.
There was an extra reason for the Rooneys to celebrate on holiday as son Klay turned nine last Saturday.
The break was also an early celebration for Coleen and Wayne who have their 14th wedding anniversary in a fortnight.
But it was primarily a chance for the couple to get away from it all after they attended the High Court together for several days.
The case was bought by Rebekah after she claimed Coleen had libelled her by claiming she had leaked personal stories about her to the press.
Coleen famously revealed in October 2019 how she planted fake stories on her personal Instagram account and had changed her settings so that the posts could only be seen by Rebekah’s account.

The holiday was a chance for the Rooneys to get away from it all after they attended the High Court together for several days

Each of the bogus stories then found their way into The Sun newspaper, prompting Coleen to suggest that Rebekah’s account was the source of the leaks.
Coleen had claimed that her actions were a ‘last resort’ after she came to the conclusion someone was leaking information about her to The Sun.
She defended herself against the libel claims in court by insisting that her allegations against Rebekah were the truth.
Rebekah claimed in turn that Coleen’s post, which was published while she was pregnant, cost her a book deal and an endorsement for placenta capsules, while also acting as a lightning rod for people to abuse her on social media.
Coleen and Wayne jetted away to Dubai last Thursday as the case ended one day later than expected.
Barristers made closing submissions in the couple’s absence and a written judgement from Mrs Justice Steyn, who presided over the proceedings, is expected later.
Coleen is said to be extremely confident she will win the case, despite the expense of the legal battle which is thought to have cost both parties millions of pounds so far.
Her barrister David Sherborne blasted Rebekah during the hearing, branding her a ‘highly unreliable witness’ and accusing her of lying to the court in her testimony.
He grilled her about her attitude towards leaking stories and respecting people’s privacy, bringing up a tawdry ‘kiss and tell’ interview she gave in 2003 when she described Peter Andre as being ‘hung like a small chipolata’

Mr Sherborne read out extracts from her old interview with the News Of The World in which she said that the singer had ‘the smallest trouser equipment I’ve ever seen’.
The barrister accused her of being a ‘highly unreliable witness’ who had lied on oath about the ‘serious and deliberate destruction’ of incriminating evidence such as WhatsApp chats.
Rebekah strongly denied the claims in court, and claimed that she had regretted making the ‘chipolata’ comment.
Coleen reportedly told friends that the trial had been a painful experience, but she insisted she was confident of victory and glad that the public now knew ‘the truth’.
One of her close friends told a newspaper: ‘After the trial, Coleen had a cup of tea and packed her bags for holiday, confident she had won.
‘She isn’t counting her chickens as she knows the ultimate decision lies with the judge – but she’s adamant she has told the truth throughout and that justice will prevail.’
Rebekah’s second husband spoke out against her after the hearing and challenged parts of her testimony.
In particular, he questioned claims that she had been ‘forced’ into telling the News Of The World about her fling with Peter Andre.
Staff at the Jumeriah Al Qasr, including many football fans from the Indian sub-continent, seemed excited to have the Rooneys as guests this week.
One said: ‘Mr Rooney and his wife…very nice people. They don’t act any different from all the other guests.’
