Rishi Sunak will decide today whether or not he will attend Cop27 – after Boris Johnson confirmed he would be there.
Amid preparations for the crucial Budget on November 17, the Prime Minister must decide if he has time to fly to next week’s major climate summit in Egypt.
He had previously said he had to focus on Britain’s ‘depressing domestic challenges’ but is now expected to join other world leaders at the conference next week.

Downing Street is believed to be already trying to arrange meetings for Mr Sunak should he be able to make it to Sharm El-Sheikh.
He faced added pressure to attend after his predecessor and Tory rival Mr Johnson told Sky News that he would be there.
‘I was invited by the Egyptians so I’m very happy to go,’ he said.
Asked if he thought Mr Sunak should be there as well, Mr Johnson said that the new PM had a ‘massive amount to do’ with the Government’s domestic agenda.
