Furever friends! Shelter dogs are adopted together after adorable video showed one jumping over kennel wall so she could spend time with her furry best pal
- Video from the Minneapolis Animal Care and Control showed the bond between Brenda and Linda, who came into the shelter together and are now inseparable
- It revealed a cement wall was far from enough to keep apart the precocious pair of pups – with Brenda seen easily traversing it to hang out with her pal next-door
- Only a few days later, after the heartwarming footage was shared with the public, the duo are set to spend the rest of their days together at a new home
A pair of precocious pit bulls who went viral earlier in the week have been adopted as a pair – after a video showed one of the pups hopping a sizable divider to secretly spend time with her stablemate.
Video from inside Minneapolis Animal Care and Control (MACC) showed the unbreakable bond between Brenda and Linda – who came into the facility together last month and have since been inseparable.
It revealed a roughly five-foot cement wall was far from enough to keep apart the puppies – with Brenda seen easily traversing the barrier to hang out with her pal next-door.
Shelter workers Monday said they were befuddled before viewing the clip – coming across the two dogs in the same kennel one day last week with their tails wagging.
Only a few days later, as the heartwarming footage was shared to the public, the duo are set to spend the rest of their days together at their new forever home – with a new owner who presumably did not have the heart to split them up.

Brenda and Linda came to the Minneapolis Animal Care and Control (MACC) two weeks ago together – and have since formed as unbreakable not even a five-foot cement wall could break
‘Brenda and Linda have left the building together with their furever family,’ the MACC wrote in an update to social media – after a woman who saw Brenda’s personality shine on-screen took home the pups as a pair.
‘Thank you to all who have shared their story and reached out to us over the last three days! We appreciate you!’
The shelter added that the adoption happened on Tuesday, only a day after they shared the now widely-seen footage.
As for the pups’ savior, staffers said it was an unnamed woman who recently lost her own dog.
‘It was truly like love at first sight,’ said MACC Community Outreach Coordinator Madison Weissenborn this week of the adoption – which staffers this week had tirelessly hoped for upon sharing the touching security footage.
‘The first thing on Tuesday morning, somebody was here for them.’
Weissenborn billed the pooches’ journey – and their search for a home that would take them as a package deal – as ‘Mission Impawsible’, a mission achieved when the aforementioned woman arrived at the shelter Tuesday with a male companion.
‘Brenda went right up to the female and Linda went right up to the male and they were like “Alright … package them up. Let’s go.”‘
She added: ‘It was meant to be.’
Earlier in the week, the outreach director spoke her desire for Brenda and Linda, thought to be 4 and 7, respective, to be birds of feather for the foreseeable future.
In the brief clip, Brenda – the brown dog – jumps the five-foot wall keeping her from her friend, and, in an act of sheer determination, uses her paws to try to pull herself over the obstacle

She then leaps down into Linda’s kennel – to the other mutt’s delight
Mission accomplished: Once together, the pair are seen scampering around the small space meant for one, before heading to the back portion of the kennel to enjoy each other’s company
They are now poised to stay roommates forever after their Tuesday adoption by an unnamed couple. ‘It was truly like love at first sight,’ staffers said. ‘Brenda went right up to the female and Linda went right up to the male and they were like “Alright … package them up. Let’s go”‘

‘We knew that they had to be together,’ staffers said Tuesday, as they shared video of the dogs leaving the shelter with their new owners
The canine companions did not have to travel far to get to their new, permanent digs, which is still in Minneapolis

‘We knew that they had to be together,’ the coordinator said, touting the now widely seen clip.
‘We rewatched the video that we have, and I about died. I was like, this is truly magnificent.’

Weissenborn said she and a coworker were walking through the halls handing out treats when they made the moving discovery – approaching Linda’s kennel to find both dogs waiting for their share.
At first puzzled, think another employee possibly put the pups together, staffers took to surveillance recordings to solve the mystery.
It was then they laid witness to Brenda’s quick-thinking and devoted nature – as well as Linda’s love for her bestie.
‘This is going to brighten everyone’s day,’ Weissenborn recalled of herdecision to share the clip with volunteers and eventually their followers online.

‘They’re so happy… we can’t separate them,’ staffers said earlier in the week
She added the dogs had been together for about an hour before the team found them – at which point they were moved to a different, bigger kennel so they could stay with one another until they were adopted.
‘You can just see them frolicking together [and separate them], Weissenborn told CBS in a TV interview after the adoption went through.
‘So, we were like “Alright, they’re so happy and we can’t separate them.”‘
Once reunited, they continued to play – a dynamic that’s sure to continue in the years to come as they get used to their new home.
