Paul Turovsky, 34, was arrested as part of a sex trafficking sting after he solicited a prostitute on his honeymoon – unaware that it was a detective

A Florida man was arrested on his honeymoon after he answered an advert for a prostitute – only to arrive at the hotel and find a detective awaiting him instead.

Paul Turovsky, a 34-year-old businessman who local media said was based in Fort Myers, was in Tampa on his honeymoon after his July 15 wedding.

His new bride fell asleep, and so Turovsky went online to search for a prostitute.

Unaware to him, Hillsborough County sheriffs were conducting a sting operation to clamp down on human trafficking, sex with minors and prostitution.

Turovsky is believed to have tried to solicit an adult prostitute.

When he arrived at the Hyatt hotel at 2900 Bayport Drive in Tampa, he was put in handcuffs. The date of his arrest hasn’t been disclosed, but it came during a months-long operation cops say snared multiple johns.

Chad Chronister, Hillsborough County sheriff, said: ‘The only question here was, as a wedding guest was it too late to get the gifts that they gave returned back to them?’

It is unclear whether he remains married.

Turovsky was one of 176 men arrested in the sting.

Detectives also found two missing teenagers aged 16 and 17 who had traveled from Massachusetts to Tampa with two of the suspects.

One was found with an adult, sleeping in a vehicle at a grocery store, and the other was found at a hotel with one of the alleged traffickers, Chronister said.

‘We believe these two individuals, these two men are responsible for trafficking many more women,’ Chronister said.

‘I’m not able to say more without jeopardizing the investigation.’

The girls were taken into protective custody and will be reunited with their parents.
