FOUR cops have been injured after three separate attacks in 24 hours.
The injuries sustained by the group of Essex Police officers vary from minor to serious hand and ankle injuries.
One assault took place while cops were attempting to make arrests as part of a drug investigation in Maldon.
Another took place while out on a domestic incident in Southend and the third assault occurred when responding to an incident in Witham.
Cops confirmed they have made a number of arrests as part of a response to each incident.
Each of the injured officers have been contacted by senior officers and are said to remain in good spirits.
