  • Teenagers punched and shoved each other

A shopper has been filmed handing over her baby so she could join a wild all-girl brawl in a busy supermarket.

Distressing footage of the fight shows a group of young women raining blows on each other inside Woolworths Tamworth Eastpoint, NSW, on June 1.

In the video, sent to 2GB, two girls pulled hair and threw punches before another gave her baby to a man who had just been shoved so she could enter the melee.

She unleashed a series of blows while the girls stumbled down a nearby aisle.

Second later the man who had taken the baby from her passed the infant to a third person and tried to defend the young woman.

‘Stop, stop, stop,’ another man yelled as the girls continued to struggle.

A shopping basket and a display of soft drinks were knocked over as at least four people fought in the aisle.

‘Jesus Christ,’ the shopper filming the wild brawl said.

‘F*** off you stupid dog c***,’ one of the girls told the mother of the baby.

A man holding a bag of roast chicken then tried to intervene as the two men grappled on the floor.

A woman could be heard calling one of the teens involved a ‘dirty dog’ while other shoppers and staff tried to break up the fight.

‘You’re starting on a family with a f***ing kid c***,’ the man who was initially tasked with holding the baby yelled at his attacker.

A NSW police spokesperson told Daily Mail Australia that officers were called to a supermarket on Peel Street, Tamworth, following reports of a fight.

‘Officers attached to Oxley Police District were told a group of people became involved in a verbal argument before a physical altercation ensued,’ they said.

A Woolworths spokesperson said: ‘We’re aware of an incident that occurred at our Eastpoint Tamworth store late last week and there’s no place for violence like this anywhere in our community.

‘We’re offering team members who witnessed it access to counselling services, and we continue to assist police with their inquiries.’
