Jealous ex-boyfriend who ‘humiliated’ former lover by sharing intimate snaps and videos of her to PornHub with captions like ‘filthy s**t’ is spared jail due to two-year delay on court hearing
- Reece Dolan, 24, shared sexual images of his ex-girlfriend on a porn website
- But the jealous ex from Northfleet, Kent avoided jail due to two-year court delays
- At Maidstone Crown Court Judge Statman handed a 2-year suspended sentence
- He would have ‘unhesitatingly’ jailed him two years ago were it not for delays
A jealous ex-boyfriend has been spared prison after he left his his former girlfriend ‘humiliated and broken’ by sharing intimate photos and videos to PornHub, a court heard.
She was horrified to discover in a phone call that private sexual images of her could be seen online which were uploaded by her ex Reece Dolan, 24.
Together with personal details including her name and number, she was described as having ‘a fantastic body’ with a caption reading ‘I’m a filthy s**t’ and that she enjoyed drinking and drugs.
A judge was told although the woman and Dolan, from Northfleet, Kent, had parted on good terms at the end of their relationship, a photo she later posted of herself and a male friend became ‘all too much’ for the electrician.
Dolan would have faced prison time were it not for two-year court delays, a judge said.

‘You completely destroyed her reputation. Think of what you did to her, listen to what she has told this court in her victim personal statement,’ said Judge Statman at Maidstone Crown Court yesterday (picture posed by model)
The PornHub account he then set up in revenge was viewed 1,600 times in the three weeks it was registered, Maidstone Crown Court, Kent, heard yesterday.
Dolan admitted disclosing private sexual images but the dad was handed a suspended jail term due to the fact it had taken more than two years for his case to reach conclusion in the courts.
Judge Philip Statman told him that but for the ‘unconscionable’ delay his sentence would have been ‘without hesitation’ immediate imprisonment.
He told Dolan, who has no previous convictions, that his actions had had ‘utterly devastating’ consequences for his ex-partner.
‘You completely destroyed her reputation. Think of what you did to her, listen to what she has told this court in her victim personal statement,’ said Judge Statman.
‘She was left feeling broken by your actions, thinking that those distributed images are with other individuals and could be used and passed on to others for illicit purposes.
‘You have undermined her and are responsible for putting her into a position where each and every day she thinks about what you have done and how you have betrayed her.
‘You set up this account… and your description of her in those ugly, graphic terms is an absolute disgrace. You knew well fine what the consequences would be.
‘Your conduct shows complete humiliation of your victim. The images were circulated widely. She has been caused very serious distress.’
But Judge Statman said despite Dolan having little insight into how to behave in relationships, the two years since the offence was the ‘tipping point’ which enabled him to suspend an eight-month jail term for two years.
‘I have to consider the man who appears before me today. But for the fact we are dealing with matters that are now over two years in age I would have unhesitatingly sent you to prison,’ the Judge told Maidstone Crown court (pictured)
‘In my judgment it is unconscionable that this case has taken over two years to arrive for a sentencing hearing today,’ he told the court.
‘It is unconscionable for your victim but also it is unconscionable for you and delay in those circumstances is a mitigating factor.
‘I have to consider the man who appears before me today. But for the fact we are dealing with matters that are now over two years in age I would have unhesitatingly sent you to prison.’
According to court documents Dolan was not served with a court summons until March this year – 18-months after the offence.
He then appeared before magistrates in April when he pleaded guilty and the case was committed to the crown court for sentencing on Wednesday.
As part of his suspended jail term, Dolan must complete 20 days of rehabilitation, 30 sessions of a Building Better Relationships programme, and 180 hours of unpaid work.
He was also ordered to pay £425 prosecution costs and made subject to a 12-month restraining order.
