Katie Price is spotted driving her £60,000 Hummer ‘using illegitimate reg plate’ just two days after getting her licence back following two-year driving ban
- Katie Price was banned from the roads in 2021 after admitting drink-driving
- She has now been seen driving her black Hummer using non-registered plate
Katie Price has been pictured behind the wheel of her £60,000 Hummer appearing to use a fake licence plate – as she returned to driving following a two-year ban.
The former glamour model, 44, had been hit with a 16-week suspended jail sentence and barred from the roads in 2021 after admitting drink-driving while disqualified and without insurance, following a crash near her home in Sussex.
She had flipped her car on the B2135 near Horsham at about 6.20am on 28 September while driving to see a friend. Price immediately checked into The Priory following the arrest, and has completed her court-assigned rehab order.
Price was only allowed back onto the roads on Friday, and two days later she was seen driving her 15-foot black Hummer which was bearing the licence plate ‘X 22 KP X’ – details of which cannot be found in the Government’s vehicle enquiry service database, suggesting it may be illegitimate.
The plate is also listed for sale, using different spacing between the letters – ‘X22 KPX’ – for £499 on the DVLA registrations Government website.
Price had been seen driving the 2005 Hummer two weeks earlier on April 3 using a different registration plate, which was first registered with the DVLA in November 2007 and is taxed with an up to date MOT.

A representative of Price has been contacted for comment.
Her sister Sophie told MailOnline: ‘We love that the team at the Mail Online took the time to go on the Government’s website to check Kate’s number plate.’
Drivers can be fined up to £1,000 and their vehicle will fail its MOT test if they drive with incorrectly displayed number plates.
The sentence for using an unaltered licence from another vehicle should be a fine consisting of ‘100% of relevant weekly income’, according to government guidelines.
Using a forged or altered licence bought for one’s own use could also result in a fine.
But vehicle licence or registration fraud is an either way offence which can lead to a prison sentence of two years, if tried on indictment.

A person is guilty of an offence under the Vehicle Excise and Registration Act 1994 if he or she forges, fraudulently alters, fraudulently uses, fraudulently lends or fraudulently allows to be used by another person a registration mark, registration document, or a trade plate (including a replacement trade plate).
Price was also pictured wearing slider footwear as she returned to driving.
The Highway Code does not say anything specific about driving without shoes but Rule 97 says: ‘You should ensure that clothing and footwear do not prevent you using the controls in the correct manner.’
In December 2021 Price had issued a grovelling apology after avoiding jail for her drug and booze-fuelled car crash.

In December 2021 Katie issued a grovelling apology after avoiding jail for her drug and booze-fuelled car crash
She said she was ‘incredibly sorry’ and was working hard to address her mental health issues.
She said: ‘It’s been a really difficult time and I’m incredibly sorry for my actions – I’m sincerely grateful nobody was hurt.’
The mother of five added: ‘I’m spending time getting better – mental health is a hidden illness and can strike at any time.’
Campaigners were furious after she walked free from court at the time, despite crashing her Range Rover near her Sussex home that September during her fifth driving ban.
She told police at the scene: ‘I took drugs. I should not be driving. I admit it all’.
But she escaped with a 16-week suspended sentence for drink-driving after going into rehab.
Katie crashed her BMW while double the drink-drive limit after leaving her home to allegedly hunt for drugs during an all-night alcohol and cocaine bender and was subsequently arrested before pleading guilty in court.
The model had no driving licence at the time after being disqualified for two years in October 2019 – and has been banned from the roads six times in total.
The three charges were using a motor vehicle on a public place without third party insurance; driving while unfit to drive through drink; and driving while disqualified. Katie had been taken to hospital but is not thought to have been badly injured.
The star is mother to Junior, 16, and Princess, 14, who she shares with Peter Andre, as well as Jett, eight, and Bunny, seven, with ex-husband Kieran Hayler and Harvey, 18, with Dwight Yorke.
