Katie Price soaks up the sun in Thailand as charges that she was speeding at more than 60mph and failed to provide details are dropped in UK court

  • Former glamour model had been charged with one count of breaching speed limit on September 13, 2021
  • She was also accused of failing to tell police who was behind the wheel of her £62,000 BMW on January 26
  • Her case was dismissed after ‘no evidence was offered’, in Price’s latest brush with the law in recent months

Katie Price has been seen soaking up the sun in Thailand as charges she was speeding at more than 60mph and failed to provide details to police were dropped in an English court.

The 44-year-old former glamour model had been charged with one count of exceeding the 60mph speed limit on September 13, 2021, but police dropped the case just hours before it appeared in court.

She was also accused of failing to tell police who was behind the wheel of her £62,000 BMW on January 26, but this was also dismissed as ‘no evidence was offered’.

Price, who has almost 20 previous driving convictions, was banned from driving at the time of the alleged offence.

Only two weeks later she flipped her BMW on the B2135 near Partridge Green in West Sussex after drinking and taking drugs.

She dodged jail and was handed a 16-week prison sentence, suspended for 12 months, after promising to attend rehab at the Priory.

Price, who has been represented by lawyer Nicholas Hamblin of Westgate Chambers, was also handed 100 hours of unpaid work and 20 rehabilitation activity requirement sessions to be completed within the next 12 months.

In addition, she was disqualified from driving for two years and ordered to pay £85 costs.

Price (seen in her Thai photoshoot) has a long legal history. She recently dodged jail over a drink and drugs crash near her Mucky Mansion in West Sussex

Price left for Thailand shortly after avoiding jail for sending ‘vile and nasty’ messages to her ex Kieran Hayler’s fiancee.

The ex model  branded Michelle Penticost a ‘gutter s**g’ in a breach of a restraining order.

She was told that she would not face prison for the offence, but instead has to carry out 170 hours of unpaid work.

Price – who was heard to tell a reporter to ‘suck my d**k’ after she was asked about the prospects of a prison sentence outside court – had been banned from contacting Miss Penticost directly or indirectly for five years in June 2019.

It recently emerged that Price booked her Thailand trip before learning of her fate for breaching the restraining order.

During the trip she has been posting on her Only Fans – running the risk of breaching Thailand’s strict anti-pornography laws.

Earlier in the trip Price was seen taking in the sites around Thai capital Bangkok on a traditional tuktuk

Her speeding case was dealt with under the ‘single justice procedure’, which allows for adults charged with summary-only, non-imprisonable offences to have their cases dealt with remotely by a magistrate

Had she been convicted of the speeding offence, she could have received a fine or points off her licence, but not jail

Price has been represented by Nicholas Hamblin of Westgate Chambers. The barrister works at ‘all levels of crime, prosecution and defence’, according to an online profile

The USUAL suspect: Katie Price’s rap sheet in full including drink-driving BMW crash, bankruptcy, restraining order breaches and string of speeding fines… as latest charges against her are dropped

By Chay Quinna and Tom Pyman for MailOnline

Katie Price had two driving charges against her dropped today in her latest brush with the justice system.

The 44-year-old former glamour model had been charged with one count of exceeding the 60mph speed limit on September 13, 2021, and one count of failing to provide information on January 26 this year. But the charges were dropped after ‘no evidence was offered’.

It’s far from her first brush with the law. Last September, she was handed a suspended sentence after crashing her BMW on the B2135 near Partridge Green in West Sussex.

She was given a 16-week prison sentence, suspended for 12 months, with 100 hours of unpaid work and 20 rehabilitation activity requirement sessions to be completed within the next 12 months.

She was also disqualified from driving for two years and ordered to pay £85 costs. Last month she avoided a potential jail sentence and was given a community order and told to pay £1,500 costs at Lewes Crown Court after pleading guilty to breaching a restraining order.
