Katie Price ‘is pulled over for driving without a licence or insurance and has her Range Rover seized’: Sussex locals say model – who has suspended jail term hanging over her for motoring offences – was quizzed by police at the roadside for an HOUR
- Police said they impounded a Range Rover from a 45-year-old woman on Friday
- Locals claim this was Katie Price who they saw talking to police after the incident
Katie Price has had her car seized by police after she was pulled over for driving without a licence or insurance, according to locals.
Police said they impounded a Range Rover from a 45-year-old woman, who witnesses claim to be the former glamour model, shortly before 6pm on Friday at Sompting Road roundabout in Worthing, West Sussex.
Local residents said they saw Katie, who is also 45 and drives a silver Range Rover, talking to police at the roadside for over a hour after the incident.
She has only recently been able to get back behind the wheel following a two year driving ban which she was handed in December 2021 when she crashed her vehicle near her home in Sussex.
The mother-of-five was pictured earlier this week dressed in a pink Barbie-style outfit tucking a parking ticket into her Louis Vuitton handbag after it was seen placed on the windscreen of her four-by-four.

The two-time I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! star revealed earlier this week that she is currently paying £14,000 a year for car insurance.
She said the figure was originally quoted as being up to £73,000 before she tweaked a few details to get a better offer.
She claimed that being charged absurdly high prices was ‘discrimination’ and that it wouldn’t happen to someone with the same name as her but with a different job.
Katie said in a TikTok live video last weekend: ‘No insurance company will insure me on a new car or anything flash, nothing.
‘So I am just lucky to be on the road in the car I am in, it’s not the car I want to be driving but no one will insure me. I have to wait a year to be able to get a new [car] again.
‘The quotes I had for my insurance on a normal car that is £15k was £73k, one was £53k and one was £33k, and they were my quotes because no one else would insure me because of who I am.
‘It’s discrimination because if someone else had the same as me and they had a normal job, they wouldn’t charge that much, it’s way more than the car.’
‘Then I changed it to author and the insurance is £14k for a year but it’s still not the car I want. I don’t care.
‘I am on the road so it is what it is. I shouldn’t have done what I did, so you have to pay the price. So in a years’ time I will get the car I want and until then I am grateful.’

The reality TV star was also handed a 16-week suspended jail sentence after she admitted drink-driving while disqualified and driving without insurance in the lead up to the incident in 2021.
Katie flipped her BMW on to its side on the B2135 near Partridge Green, south of Horsham in West Sussex, at about 6.20am on September 28 while driving to see a friend.
She completed a court-assigned rehabilitation order following the accident, when which she tested positive for alcohol and cocaine.
The model also issued an apology after avoiding jail for the drug and booze-fuelled car crash.
She said she was ‘incredibly sorry’ and was working hard to address mental-health issues.
She said: ‘It’s been a really difficult time and I’m incredibly sorry for my actions – I’m sincerely grateful nobody was hurt.
‘I’m spending time getting better – mental health is a hidden illness and can strike at any time.’
A Sussex Police spokesperson said: ‘Officers responded to a report of a motorist driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence and driving without insurance at Sompting Road roundabout, Worthing, shortly before 6pm on Friday, July 21.
‘A 45-year-old woman was spoken to, and a Range Rover was seized under Section 165(a) of the Road Traffic Act.
‘Sussex Police is not able to comment further at this time.’
