Rapper Kodak Black is arrested on drug charges after traffic stop where cops found ‘white pills and $75,000 in cash’ – three years after he was pardoned by Trump
- Kodak Black was one of 140 people pardoned by Donald Trump on his last full day in office in 2021
- Just under three years later, Black has been arrested again on drugs charges
- His car was reportedly stopped for speeding and officers found oxycodone and almost $75,000 inside
The Rapper Kodak Black has been arrested on drug charges almost three years after then-President Donald Trump pardoned him and commuted his prison sentence.
The Tunnel Vision rapper – whose real name is Bill Kapri – was arrested in Florida, near Fort Lauderdale, on Wednesday.
Police reportedly stopped the 26-year-old’s purple SUV going over the speed limit through Plantation and then detected a marijuana smell coming from the vehicle.
They searched the car and found a clear bag containing white tablets, which was later identified as oxycodone and almost $75,000 in cash.
It comes three years after Trump pardoned the rapper in January 2021 – he had pleaded guilty to firearms charges and was meant to be imprisoned until November 2022.

He was one of over 140 people granted pardons on Trump’s last full day as president.
The White House praised his ‘charitable efforts’ at the time and said: ‘He has committed to supporting a variety of charitable efforts, such as providing educational resources to students and families of fallen law enforcement officers and the underprivileged.’
But he has now been arrested and charged with possession of cocaine and tampering with physical evidence – and is due to appear in court on Thursday.
Black has a long history of run-ins with the law.
He was arrested on similar charges in July 2022, and charged with trafficking oxycodone after police claimed they found 31 oxycodone pills in his car.
Then he was booked again in June before being released on a $250K bond and in February of this year, he was wanted by the police in Florida for violating the conditions of his bail and failing a drug test.
He also served a brief prison stint in May 2017 after a judge sentenced him to 364 days in jail for violating the terms of his house arrest.

He was released a month later when he completed a life skill course while behind bars.
Kodak was also sued by two victims of a shooting that took place outside of Justin Bieber’s Super Bowl afterparty in February 2022.
The alleged victims claimed Kodak played a major part in the escalation of the fight that occurred outside of the establishment.
Reportedly, an unknown assailant attacked someone from Kodak’s group, prompting him to get into a scuffle to protect his friend.
Trump pardoned the rapper back in 2020, freeing him from prison after serving a year for falsifying information on federal forms to buy four guns from a Miami firearms shop.
In return Kodak has repeatedly endorsed the former president.
In a recent interview he said he had a lot in common with Trump, adding: ‘I f*** with that boy.
‘He a Gemini like me — his birthday two days after my s–t, and that boy, like, he be vibin’ out here too.
