COPS have arrested a man after a six-year-old girl was attacked by a pack of 17 dogs.
Video footage seen by The Sun showed the schoolgirl being savaged by the hounds at 2.40pm on Sunday.
The young girl remains in hospital receiving treatment.
Police have now arrested a 36-year-old man in relation to the dog attack, on suspicion of offences under Section 3 of the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991 and perverting the course of justice.
The man, from the Carrington area of Trafford, remains in custody for questioning whilst investigations are ongoing.
It is thought the girl had been playing with pals when the gang of pittbulls attacked.
A neighbour who caught the horrifying moment on CCTV said: "I was told the girl's older sister helped to fight off the dogs.
"It was horrendous. My own children could have been attacked out there.
"Most of the dogs were stored in a caravan outside the house.
"We told police if they did not remove it we would torch it. So they took it away."
