Man riding e-scooter dies after crashing on promenade at popular tourist hotspot | The Sun

A MAN has died after crashing his e-scooter on Blackpool Promenade.

He suffered serious head and chest injuries in the incident on Middle Walk, near the Grand Hotel, at around 12.40pm on Sunday.


Lancashire Police said the rider, in his 30s, was rushed to Royal Preston Hospital following the single vehicle crash.

But despite the efforts of paramedics and medical staff, he tragically died of his injuries.

His next of kin are being supported by specialist officers following the horror.

Sgt Laura Kendall, of the Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: "This was a serious incident in which a man has tragically lost his life.

"It’s really important we now establish the full circumstances surrounding the collision."

Cops are now appealing for witnesses, CCTV, dashcam footage and to anyone who may have been in the area at the time.
