This is the moment of relief a man was safely pulled out from under a London train after collapsing through the gap between the platform and the track.

A woman has been praised for saving the unidentified man’s life after she saw him stumbling before apparently fainting and slipping through the gap between the platform and the train at Blackhorse Road overground station in Walthamstow, east London.

In a clip, which is believed to have been filmed late Tuesday night or early Wednesday morning, there is commotion as several people, including a Transport for London employee, assist the man in getting back onto the platform.

The man looks to be in a weak state as he is pulled up and slumps over someone’s arm after getting up from under the train.

The moment was shared on Twitter this morning, where a man who was apparently at the scene, wrote: ‘Miracles do happen everyday! This young girl saved a life today.

‘She took a risk in order to save this boy’s life.’

Several people in the footage go to praise the woman for her selfless act to help the man, with one telling her: ‘God bless you, you are the angel sent trust me. He would’ve died.’

It is not yet clear what caused the man to fall onto the tracks, but when someone asks the woman who saved him, ‘Did he faint or something?’, she says yes.


She told those on the platform; ‘I’m walking and he’s stumbling, and I’m looking at him, and then as he’s gone towards the train, he just slipped through the gap. And the doors are about to close and I’m shouting, “Don’t!”‘
