LITTLE Star Hobson's mum will be welcomed home when she gets out of jail, her family have said.
Frankie Smith, 22, was caged for eight years for causing or allowing the death of her 16-month-old daughter at the hands of her evil former partner Savannah Brockhill.
Her sentence was then increased to 12 years by judges in March last year after public backlash.
Smith's ex girlfriend, Brockhill, was jailed for life with a minimum of 25 years for murdering Star – and her sentence was deemed "not unduly lenient" by the Attorney General.
During the lengthy trial, jurors endured harrowing footage of Star looking badly bruised with a swollen cheek and marks to her forehead.
They also watched clips of pub bouncer Brockhill punching and slapping the toddler with "considerable force" 21 times over a three-hour period.

The horrific attack took place in her car – with the forceful blows causing Star to fall out the vehicle at one point.
The crying toddler could also be seen struggling up a flight of stairs, while suffering from a broken shin as the monster couple forced her to walk.
In another "disturbing and bizarre" clip, Star was filmed falling from her high chair and hitting the floor as music played over the top.
On September 22, 2021 paramedics raced to the home and Star was airlifted to hospital but sadly declared dead shortly after.

WARM WELCOME
But despite the horrific details of his great-granddaughter's murder, David Fawcett has spoken out about Smith's sentence – and says he can't wait to see her released.
David also explained how his step-granddaughter has adjusted to prison life and finds herself protected by other inmates, despite the harrowing nature of her crime.
He told the MailOnline: "There’s only really me who does go to see her. A lot of the family can’t face seeing her.
"She does phone her mum. But she rings me nearly every day does Frankie because she’s like a daughter to me – we used to get on."
The 63-year-old recounted how the pair used to "do everything together" and how he has "always stood by Frankie".
He blamed Star's horrific death on Brockhill, and when speaking of Frankie said: "She were a good kid – it's just a shame she met this wrong person."
David claimed "Monster" Brockhill, "brainwashed" and "abused" Smith, who has a low IQ of 70 – labelling her another "victim".
He previously said of Brockhill: "To me she was just pure evil. I just can't believe she could do something like that to a baby girl.
"We were just a quiet, lovely family and she ascended from the bowels of hell and just completely devastated and wrecked our family."
Meanwhile Smith's grandmother still can't bring herself to watch home videos of little Star.
"Anita’s not in a good place at all – she’s really finding it hard to cope, to look at pictures of Star. She just gets so upset," he said.
"As Anita says she just wants her back. We just want her back with us."
Other family members have also seen their lives ripped apart by the monster couple.
Frankie's dad, 50-year-old Andrew Smith, tragically took his own life after sending a letter to his caged daughter, which said he would look after Star.
"The family got torn apart really", added David.
'CONSISTENT PATTERN OF CRUELTY'
Dame Victoria Sharp, President of the Queen's Bench Division, did not view Smith as a "brainwashed" victim.
She previously said Smith showed a "consistent pattern of cruelty" towards Star in the months leading up to her death.

"The circumstances of Star's treatment at the hands of both of them over a prolonged period of time are harrowing and deeply disturbing," she said.
The judge also explained the offence was worsened by Smith's failure to seek medical help for Star and by the "prolonged suffering" she was subjected to.
