POLICE are probing the "unexplained" deaths of two people found dead in a home in Essex.
Emergency crews were scrambled to Braintree at around 3.40pm yesterday amid concerns of welfare for the pair.
Tragically the two people, aged in their 70s, were discovered dead inside the home.
Police have now launched an investigation into the double tragedy.
They said their deaths are being treated as unexplained but confirmed they are not looking for anyone else in connection with the horror and believe the incident was isolated.
An Essex Police spokesperson said: "We were called to Fisher Way at 3.40pm yesterday, Tuesday 9 August, to concerns for the welfare of two people.

"We arrived alongside emergency services colleagues and sadly found two people aged in their 70s had died.
"We are now investigating the circumstances around their deaths.
"Specialist officers are in place to support the families of the two people."
