Relatives of Ms Hough today launched a fundraiser to support her family, saying their lives had been ‘truly turned upside down’.
Debbie Wright said she was organising the page for her best friend, saying it showed how: ‘Life can be turned upside down in the blink of an eye.’
The quartet were driving on the M66 motorway ‘when they were devastatingly involved in a horrific major car crash,’ she wrote.
‘They were all transported via air ambulance to the hospital and are in critical care.
‘Frankie who is currently 18 weeks pregnant is in intensive care fighting for her life. Her partner Calvin, is frantically by her side.
‘Tommy and Tobias are in induced comas in intensive care currently awaiting brain scan updates.
‘This is absolutely devastating for the family and their whole world has been truly turned upside down.’
She said Tobias’s parents, Becci and Aaron, were also at the hospital along with Ms Hough’s parents and Tommy’s father.
‘These next few weeks/months will be critical for the family and is absolutely traumatising for them all,’ she added.
‘I am humbly knocking on the door of your kind hearts to help and support this family as they go through this difficult time ahead.
‘Due to the intense injuries and critical conditions, I’m sure you will be aware that their closest loved ones cannot leave their bed side.
‘So I am asking you to find it in your kind hearts to please help my friend’s family by donating what you can.’
She said any funds raised would go to help Ms Hough’s and the children’s recoveries, adding that it would ‘take away any stress/worries of bills as their immediate family cannot leave their bedside’.
‘They would be grateful for anything you could contribute,’ she added.
By this evening more than £7,200 had been raised.
