RISHI Sunak’s longtime personal mobile number has been published online, The Sun can reveal.
No10 was hit by a fresh security breach after social media pranksters published audio of the phone ringing and the Prime Minister’s answerphone message responding.
It comes two and half years after Boris Johnson was forced to change his mobile number while in office after a similar online scare.
The Sun has verified the number is the same that Mr Sunak has used for many years – including while Chancellor and during last year's leadership election.
But it has been reported he was given a new separate number when he came to power a year ago.
However the online video that surfaced on Sunday appears to show the number continuing to be in operation.
Last month Mr Sunak said he was unable to hand over some WhatsApp messages to the Covid inquiry sent to and from this number – because he had not backed them up after changing phones several times.
Downing Street today declined to comment on security issues.
