A Russian tourist who posted a holiday photo of himself in speedos accidentally revealed where Vladimir Putin was keeping an anti-air weapon.
In the picture, the man can be seen waving to the camera as he poses in his swimsuit while standing on some beachy-looking sand in Crimea.
Behind him is a big military vehicle, which turned out to be a Russian S-400 anti-air system.
The social media photo – posted on Russia’s Facebook equivalent VKontakte – was traced to a salt flat near the city of Yevpatoriya.
The location was confirmed by comparing the picture to older satelite images from July.
Ukraine has previously asked Russian tourists not to visit Crimea unless they want an ‘unpleasantly hot summer break’.
But the photo has made the country reconsider its position, the defence ministry joked.
Maybe we are being too hard on russian tourists⦠Sometimes they can be really helpful. Like this man taking pictures at russian air defense positions near Yevpatoria, in occupied Crimea. Thank you and keep up the good work! pic.twitter.com/bj5oEyXU0H

They tweeted yesterday: ‘Maybe we are being too hard on russian tourists… Sometimes they can be really helpful.

It is unclear what, if anything, Ukraine has done with the information or the weapon.
Crimea has seen several major explosions over the last few weeks.
Defence minister Oleksii Reznikov said a Ukrainian ‘resistance force’ has been responsible.
Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelesnky recently reiterated his belief that Crimea should remain part of his country.
Making reference to the Russian occupation of the land since 2014, he said: ‘This Russian war…began with Crimea and must end with Crimea – with its liberation.’
