- A dramatic video shows the Hyundai crash into the pricey white convertible
- The vehicle is suspended over the Lamborghini, which is wedged underneath
- The driver of the luxury car narrowly escaped being crushed
- West Yorkshire Police said nobody was seriously injured in yesterday’s incident
A dramatic video shows the moment a Hyundai drove over the bonnet of a luxurious £250,000 Lamborghini Huracan after it pulled away from a junction in Leeds.
The spectacular crash, which took place at 10.24am yesterday, left the expensive white convertible looking visibly deformed – but nobody was seriously injured.
The footage shows the modestly-priced blue Hyundai i40 move away from the junction after a white van passes it by.
The driver pulls out at speed as it goes to turn right, apparently not seeing the white Lamborghini Huracan Performante as it heads directly towards it.
But, after bumping the front of the supercar, the four-door family saloon vehicle continues driving over its bonnet as if it isn’t there.
The Hyundai’s wheels narrowly miss crushing the driver as it crashes over the front of the convertible.
It then remains suspended over the expensive car in mid-air as the two vehicles are jammed together and the Lamborghini is wedged underneath.
A second clip shows the view from road-level and the extent of the damage from the smash can be seen in more detail.

The Hyundai’s bonnet appears damaged with its bumper hanging loose, while the Lamborghini is visibly deformed under its weight.
A third angle filmed from above shows police in attendance and people gathered round, before an ambulance arrives and traffic begins to gather.
A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: ‘At 10.24am police were called to a road traffic collision involving a Lamborghini and a Hyundai at the junction of Whitehall Road and Dixon Lane in Leeds.
‘There were no serious injuries.’
