A SkyWest flight was delayed by two hours after a pair of flight attendants got into an embarrassing fight over a passenger’s request to change seats – which saw both workers storm off the plane.
A now-viral video was posted on TikTok by ESPN anchor Ashley Brewer, who was on the flight from Los Angeles to Houston on Tuesday, which was set to the Curb Your Enthusiasm theme music.
She posted showing at least two flight attendants bickering, which she said was over whether or not one of the first class passengers could swap seats with someone in coach so they could sit next to her husband.
A male flight attendant granted the request but a female flight attendant then reportedly told him not to allow it as it was against SkyWest’s policy. The airline only allows people to swap seats up to 72 hours before takeoff.
The male flight attendant then started to yell at the female worker before she ran to the front of the plane and started to cry.

Aint nobody got time for that @americanair 🙄🙄🙄 #petty #rude #delayed #dramatiktok
‘They kept bickering and going back and forth in the middle of the aisle about the rules, and what was right and what was wrong,’ Brewer said.
Eventually, the video shows the male flight attendant getting off the plane, with a new crew member replacing him.
However, an hour after that – according to Brewer – the female flight attendant decided to get off the plane too.
‘So then we just sat down and waited and waited and waited,’ said Brewer, who called the flight attendants ‘petty’ for their behavior. ‘And it was a whole big thing. They had the flight crew come on, the pilots came out and tried to talk through [it]. It was such an ordeal. And I’m so glad it’s over.’
Passengers had to wait even longer until there was a full crew capable of operating the plane before it took off.
A spokesperson for SkyWest told DailyMail.com that they’ve launched an investigation into what happened.
‘SkyWest is aware of reports regarding a flight attendant issue that caused flight 4860, operating as American Eagle from Los Angeles to Houston, to be delayed on Saturday,’ the airline said.
‘We regret the delay this caused for our passengers and apologize for any inconvenience. We hold all our employees to the highest standards of professionalism and are conducting an internal investigation related to this flight.’

Brewer also clarified that the new crew was ‘so sweet’ but that the experience was ultimately deeply frustrating.
‘I only get to see my fiancé for 24 hours. It’s now 22 because attendants are being petty.’
Flight Aware data claims the plane was only delayed a little over an hour, according to WKRG.
She also noted that, in the end, the woman was not allowed to swap seats and sit with her husband.
