Retired tennis legends Andre Agassi and Steffi Graf cheered on their son Jaden, 21, as he played his first University of Southern California (USC) baseball game for 2023.

Graf, 53, and Agassi, 52, who have boasted about their hands-off approach to parenting were seen smiling and applauding as their 21-year-old took the pitcher’s mound.

Jaden’s athletic genes shone through at the game against Marist Red Foxes at the Dedeaux Field in Los Angeles, wear he was seen wearing a 45 jersey, leading his team to a 17 – 4 victory.

The family outing was completed by Jaz Elle, 19, who joined her sport star parents in the grandstand to support her brother as he played.

The iconic tennis sweethearts – who are both out of the game professionally but still play in charity and exhibition matches – have been married since 2001.

The highs and lows of the game were clear on the doting parents faces as they watched their son’s first game of the season.

Agassi and Graf both appeared tense during some moments of the game and were seen smiling and applauding in others. 

Both donned USC merchandise from head-to-toe as they spent the family outing together supporting their son.

The couple welcomed their son just four days after saying ‘I do’ in Las Vegas the 21-year-old’s middle name, Gil, a homage to Andre’s former trainer Gil Reyes who he worked with until his retirement in 2006. 

Jaden played pitcher and third base during the game and tossed 6.1 innings and gave up just one earned run to pick up the victory on the mound. 

It was a relatively slow start for USC who trailed 3-1 heading into the bottom of the fourth, but the USC offense capitalized on a couple Marist errors to put up five runs in the inning. 

The Trojans added four runs in the fifth to really break things open and then put the game out of reach with six in the seventh.

The 21-year-old held form as he pitched throughout the game and appeared determined on winning, inheriting his parents athletic prowess.

The family outing appeared to be a night of support for their eldest son

Jaden is one of two of Graf and Agassi’s children, joined by his sister, Jaz Elle, just two years after he was born.

Jaz Elle was seen sitting with her parents in the stand and later walking with the family in the parking lot following Jaden’s teams victory. 

The outing saw the entire family speaking with friends and bystanders during and after the game with smiles on the faces of USC supporters.

In 2019, the couple revealed details of their approach to parenting while speaking to Stellar Magazine.

‘We just wanted our children to choose as they see fit and to then make sure their days reflect the things they claim to care about,’ Agassi told the outlet at the time.

‘Because doing something a little bit is not the deal.’

The pair also reflected on the physical turmoil years of playing tennis has had on their bodies during the interview.

Agassi revealed that he suffered from back pain, while Graf added: ‘Sitting here, my hips – it’s hurting. I’ve got a knee that’s bone on bone… It was hard on our bodies.’

The couple have kept a relatively low-profile since retiring their tennis whites from the court in 2006 and 1999.
