Stormy Daniels 'proud' of Trump indictment as she makes savage dig at ex president while preparing to face him in court | The Sun

STORMY Daniels said she is "proud" after a grand jury voted to indict Donald Trump over his alleged hush money payments to the adult film star.

Daniels, 44, said she is ready to face the former US President in court, calling him, "no longer untouchable."

"A person in power is not exempt from the law. And no matter what your job is, or what your bank account says, you’re held accountable for the things you’ve said and done, and justice is served," she told The Times.

Despite the historic indictment making Trump, 76, the first former President to face criminal charges, Daniels said the news is "bittersweet."

"I am fully aware of the insanity of it being a porn star. But it’s also poetic," she said.

The charges against Trump have yet to be made public but prosecutors have been investigating an alleged payment of $130,000 to Daniels a week before the 2016 election.

Trump is likely to appear before the Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg on Tuesday after announcing his surrender.

"We urge you to refrain from these inflammatory accusations, withdraw your demand for information, and let the criminal justice process proceed without unlawful political interference," Bragg wrote in a letter to three Republican House committee chairs on Friday.

He could face up to 30 charges related to business fraud, reported the Associated Press.

Trump will be photographed and have his fingerprints taken after turning himself in.

He will be flanked by armed Secret Service agents who must protect him at all times, per The New York Times.

Trump's lawyer Joe Tacopina told ABC News on Friday that the former president "will not be put in handcuffs."

The former commander-in-chief has vehemently denied any wrongdoing throughout the probe.

He wrote on his Truth Social platform: "This is Political Persecution and Election Interference at the highest level in history.

He claimed Democrats have "cheated countless times over the decades" and deemed the Manhattan DA "a disgrace."

Meanwhile, Daniels – real name, Stephanie Gregory Clifford – said that when the news came, "I was on a horse named Redemption."

She was actually on a horse – Daniels is an accomplished equestrian, claiming to have used some of the $130,000 to buy a horse trailer.

When the news of the indictment came, Daniels had gone outside to ride her horse after taking a nap.

“There was no warning,” she said.

Daniels has still been on the receiving end of degrading comments, nothing new since she came forward about her alleged affair with Trump.

However, she said the backlash against her has intensified over time.

"The first time it was 'gold digger,' 's**t,' 'w***e,' 'liar,' whatever," she said.

"And this time it’s ‘I’m gonna murder you’. They’re way more violent and graphic."

She said for the first time, she is "afraid" of what's to come but said it won't deter her from facing him in court.

"I’ve seen him naked. There’s no way he could be scarier with his clothes on," she claimed.
