A TEEN boy has been run down and killed on a pedestrian crossing – sparking an air ambulance dash as cops appeal for help.
The boy, 15, was hit by a white Hyundai Ioniq at about 11.45am yesterday in Thetford, Norfolk.
An air ambulance attended the collision, but the boy was pronounced dead at the scene.
Norfolk Constabulary said: "Police are appealing for witnesses after a 15-year-old boy died in a collision in Thetford yesterday.
"The incident happened on London Road at the pedestrian crossing next to Icknield Way at about 11.45am when a white Hyundai Ioniq travelling from the town centre towards the A11 was involved in a collision with a pedestrian.
"Emergency services, including the air ambulance, were deployed and despite treatment, the teenager was pronounced dead at the scene.

"Police are keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the collision or seen either the vehicle or the pedestrian prior to the incident.
"Officers are also keen to hear from anyone who may have been travelling in the area at the time and may have relevant dash-cam footage."
It is currently unclear whether the collision is being treated as a hit-and-run.
Norfolk Police has been contacted for additional comment.
