Lorenzo had been hospitalised due to a sudden illness last month.
After being discharged a few days later, he revealed that he had been diagnosed with labyrinthitis – an inner ear infection that affects one’s balance.
But on Monday, he collapsed at his family home after suffering a cardiac arrest, his wife Assunta said.
She gave an update on his condition hours before his death, telling their 1.8 million followers: ‘Good morning everyone. Lorenzo is not going very well at the moment. He sends a kiss to everyone.
‘Between tomorrow and the day after tomorrow he will reply to everyone.’
But Femmine died a few hours later, with his heartbroken wife writing on Instagram: ‘I feel so bad. I can’t believe it.’
Femmine leaves behind his wife and his three children Matteo, six, Emanuele, four and Francesco, two, reports Italy24.

The father-of-three had used his TikTok account to chronicle his everyday life with his children and wife, with his videos often amassing millions of views on the social media platform.
Femmine would often flaunt his ostentatious lifestyle, with the TikTok star posting videos of himself driving expensive cars and wearing expensive suits. His videos would range from eating dinner with his family to taking a trip to Ibiza or going on a cruise.
Italian actor Massimo Cerbone, who said he met Femmine on the set of the TV series Gomorra 5, paid tribute to the influencer.
‘We met on the set of Gomorra 5. Too early to die. Have a good trip Misterpellapazzo,’ Cerbone wrote.
Fans and friends also paid tribute to Femmine, with one commenting on a video of the star riding a jet ski: ‘I’m speechless Lorenzo, we heard today, I’m very sad, it doesn’t feel real.’
Another wrote: ‘In some bad times in my life, your videos with your gorgeous family always brought a smile to my face, I feel devastated. Thank you for everything.’
Assunta was forced to warn Femmine’s followers of scammers trying to profit from the influencer’s death.
‘I have to disassociate myself from these people who are doing live broadcasts and say they are collecting money for me and my family to pay for my husband’s funeral,’ the grieving wife wrote.
‘Nothing is true, don’t donate anything to these people. Thanks to everyone.’
