SOPHIE Wessex was seen making a peace-making gesture to Meghan before the arrival of the Queen's coffin in a touching moment.
The pair, who are both married to members of the Royal Family, recently joined in sombre reflection as their car followed the royal procession.
Meghan and Sophie drove behind their husbands, Prince Harry and Prince Edward, who marched the Queen's coffin from Buckingham Palace to Westminster Hall on Wednesday.
King Charles led his family in the procession as he walked behind the Queen's coffin along with his siblings, Princess Anne, Prince Andrew and Prince Edward.
Sophie was seen fighting back tears yesterday as she attended the emotional service to the Queen at Westminster Hall.
According to The Mirror there was a "notable gap between Sophie and Meghan" at first, "while the three working royals bunched together".

But Sophie, who has a reputation as a peacemaker among the royals, was spotted leaning over to chat to Meghan.
And the Duchess of Sussex seemed visibly more relaxed after the exchange of words as the pair shared in their grief.
Describing the sweet gesture, the Mirror wrote: "Meghan, who had travelled in a car with Sophie from Buckingham Palace earlier – a reason to move slightly closer to her husband's aunt.
"Meghan, looked decidedly self-conscious from my vantage point, just above her in the 900-year-old building.
"Shoulders back, clutching her programme and bag, she was the most stylish and striking of them all. She wore a pair of pearl earrings given to her by the Queen as a wedding present.
"But there was something self-consciously awkward about her posture, demonstrating the depth of the rift between herself and the rest of the royal family even if you happened upon them without any prior knowledge of the acrimony of the past four years.

It was revealed yesterday that Sophie and Meghan will reunite once more to follow the Queen's funeral procession by car together.
It comes as Meghan's husband Harry solemnly marched alongside his brother William in the procession from Buckingham Palace to Westminster Hall yesterday.
They appeared to put their differences aside after years of speculated rifts.
The brothers stood side-by-side as they followed the late monarch – and they will unite in similarly solemn scenes for the state funeral on September 19.
And the brothers are set to show another display of unity as they mourn their grandmother, while their wives Kate and Meghan will follow in a car
William and Harry, accompanied by Kate and Meghan, previously met mourners and viewed flowers left in memory of the Queen together outside Windsor Castle on Saturday.
Meanwhile, Sophie was seen being involved in another touching moment today when she shared an emotional hug with a young well-wisher at a memorial for Her Majesty.
The Earl and Countess of Wessex were visiting St Anne's Square in Manchester to meet with royalists who wanted to pay their respects to the Queen.
An emotional Sophie broke down today as she viewed tributes to her beloved mother-in-law who she shared a close bond with and lovingly called her "mama".
She wept as she joined Prince Edward to view tributes for Her Majesty in Manchester yesterday.
Her Majesty's coffin travelled to London from Scotland by royal plane on Tuesday.
