Urgent hunt for schoolboy, 12, missing after he was 'rushed to hospital with head injury' | The Sun

POLICE are desperately searching for a 12-year-old boy who went missing from a hospital after being admitted with a head injury.

Officers from Lancashire Constabulary are "very concerned" for the safety of Joseph Steeley, who was last seen at Royal Lancaster Infirmary on Wednesday night.

The force say he was receiving treatment after "taking off his bike".

Cops are now appealing for information about the missing young lad, who they say "needs to return to hospital".

Joseph, who is described as 5ft 2ins and of slim build, was last seen wearing a blue t-shirt, black trousers and dark orange Karrimor trainers.

He has links to the Morecambe, Lancaster and Leyland areas.

A police spokesperson said: "Police are very concerned for the welfare of missing 12-year-old Joseph Steeley who was last seen at the Royal Lancaster Infirmary on the night August 10, 2022.

"Joseph has a head injury after taking off his bike and needs to return to hospital."

They urged anyone with information to call 101.

Immediate sightings should be reported on 999 quoting log LC-20220810-1479.
