Walkers fans devastated after popular Wotsit flavour is quietly AXED
- Sizzling steak crisp has disappeared from shelves having been discontinued
Crisp fans have been left devastated after Walkers quietly axed one of its most popular flavours of Wotsits.
The brands sizzling steak crisps have disappeared from the shelves having been discontinued from the Walkers range, despite rave reviews online from fans of the crisp.
The flavoured corn puffs were a fan favourite for most, particularly for the Walkers claim that each pack was 100 calories or less.
The news came out on X, formerly known as Twitter, when one person contacted the company to ask if the flavour had been discontinued after being unable to spot them on the shelves.
And in a heartbreaking response, the brand confirmed it had, writing: ‘We’re sorry but sizzling steak Wotsits are no longer part of our range’.
The fan responded with two broken heart emojis.

Others have already noticed the flavour missing from the shelves, with one writing to Walkers on X last month: ‘Bring back sizzling steak wotsits I beg please I miss them’.
It is not clear when the flavour was axed, but it does still appear as part of the range on the Walker’s website alongside the original cheese flavour and flamin’ hot.
It comes as a surprise to many after the brand brought the flavour, originally known as BBQ beef, and flamin’ hot back onto the shelves in 2020, after they were discontinued for the first time back in 2000.
Another popular flavour was also axed from the shelves, with a favourite Quavers flavour which only returned two years ago once again being discontinued.
The crisp giant also sparked outrage when it decided to scrap the Worcester Sauce flavour of baked good.
It comes after Walkers launched a new range of festive flavoured snacks in time for Christmas, leaving some fans divided.

The limited edition crisps can be purchased for 1.65 as part of a five-pack multipack, and have so far been spotted on Aldi supermarket aisles.
However the crisps brand is no stranger to peculiar festive flavours after launching the Brussels Sprout flavour in October 2018.
It debuted alongside five festive flavours including Turkey and Stuffing, Pigs in Blankets, Glazed Ham, Cheese and Cranberry as well as the sprout flavour snack.
