We found Nazi buried treasure in eerie spot where soldiers surrendered in WWII – the silver coins haul is worth hundreds | The Sun

TREASURE hunters were stunned when they found valuable Nazi coins buried on a patch of land with a tragic past.

The AL history team stumbled upon the lucky find on the Eastern Front where World War II soldiers surrendered.

They shared a TikTok video of their hunt for the coins where they can be seen digging in the dirt with their bare hands.

The clip starts by setting the scene as it pans around an eerie-looking forest before it cuts to the action and shows a metal detector swooping the ground and receiving "a lot of signals."

Then a green-gloved hand scrapes away dirt before the video reads: "coins begin to appear," and shows a large silver coin, still shiny and in near perfect condition.

It's a Lithuanian coin and has the portrait of Antanas Smetona, Former President of Lithuania, engraved on the front.

Then as "more and more" treasure starts to emerge the video zooms out and shows an array of shiny silver, with many different engravings.

The lucky metal detectorists then revealed they had found a whopping 32 coins as they proudly hold them up to the camera.

The treasure has now been put up for sale and though the price of these specific coins is unknown, similar coins have made hundreds of pounds.

This is not the only time a lucky find has made the news recently.
