FURIOUS residents are struggling to breathe because they live under a horrendous dust cloud from a waste disposal unit.
They say they cannot open their windows because the road is constantly dirty, and complain that the site workers never help to clean up.
The dust pollution, grime, filth, potholes caused from heavy trucks driving back and forth, and noise is causing misery for many families nearby in Nottingham.
Communications student Emma Whitley, 31, fumed: “I can’t open my windows just a fraction because the dust pours in.
"I can’t hang my washing out in the garden because it turns black and my boyfriend’s car is continually covered in dust.
“I have asthma so it is even worse for me. It is just horrendous. All the dust is affecting my health. It’s got worse over the past weeks.”

She said they have made several complaint to community police officers but nothing has happened.
Her neighbour Katherine Prince, 46, added: "You can feel the dust in the air, it is sometimes difficult to breathe.
"Nothing is being done about it and it is dangerous."
Local councillor for Basford Linda Woodings said a number of neighbours have complained about pollution, rubbish and dust.
There are also concerns about the disruption to traffic caused by lorries that enter and leave the site.
Concerns were raised after a "significant fire" broke out on the site in July with eight crews attending. The blaze was thought to be accidental.
Colson manager Darren MacKenzie said the windows of the homes on Bulwell Lane "get cleaned every week”, NottinghamshireLive reported, adding: "I can prove it with receipts.”
He continued: "We are being regulated by the Environment Agency. We had an inspection after the fire so they came in, had a look at the site and they are happy with everything.”
A spokesperson for the Environment Agency said: “We have visited the site since the fire and found that the operator is removing the waste and have repaired the dust suppression system and site netting which were damaged in the fire.
