A COMMUNITY faced tragedy when a local teenager was found dead and another one was arrested.
Late homicide victim Tristyn Bailey and her killer Aiden Fucci attended the same school.
Where did Aiden Fucci and Tristyn Bailey go to school?
Aiden Fucci and Tristyn Bailey both attended Patriot Oaks Academy in St. Johns County, Florida.
Patriot Oaks Academy runs from kindergarten to eighth grade and serves about 1,500 students.
According to its website, the school contains a community that "fosters character development, independence and a lifelong love of learning."
The school was one of two new ones to open in 2014 in St John's County.
Valley Ridge Academy also launched the same year.
What was Tristyn Bailey's cause of death?
On May 9, 2021, Tristyn was reported missing after she vanished from her family's home.
Later that Sunday, police recovered her body from a retention pond close to her home.
As a murder investigation was launched, local authorities concluded Tristyn was stabbed a total of 114 times.

On May 10, 2021, her Patriot Oaks Academy classmate Aiden Fucci was arrested as the prime suspect in her homicide.
Tristyn's cause of death was attributed to sharp force trauma by stabbing.
On February 6, 2023, Fucci pleaded guilty to the first-degree murder of Tristyn.
Despite his 16 years of age, Fucci was charged and convicted as an adult
On March 24, 2023, Fucci is expected to be sentenced for Tristyn Bailey's homicide.
How did Tristyn's school honor her memory?
Although Tristyn died before she could graduate, Patriot Oaks Academy still honored her memory.
In their 2022 yearbook, the school dedicated a number of pages to her from its In Loving Memory section.
During the fall semester's homecoming game, the school's football team and cheerleading squad all donned aqua-colored uniforms to pay tribute to Tristyn.

At the game, the student body and faculty chanted "Tristyn Bailey strong" in unison.
