There are also three bridges visitors can cross over the flowing water and go right to the heart of the fountain, which are said to represent Diana's "quality and openness".

The much-loved Princess of Wales died after suffering fatal injuries in a car crash in the Pont de l'Alma road tunnel in Paris.
Her companion Dodi Fayed, and driver and security guard Henri Paul were also killed in the crash.
A number of memorials have been designed to honour Diana's life since her death, including the Diana Memorial Playground, The White Garden and The Princess Diana statue, which can all be found in the grounds of Kensington Palace.

How can I visit?
Visitors can find the Princess Diana memorial fountain in Hyde Park, London, close to her Kensington Palace home.
Throughout the year, opening times to visit the memorial differ.
- April – August: 10am – 8pm
- September: 10am – 7pm
- March and October: 10am- 6pm
- November – February: 10am- 4pm
The area may be closed off during extremely cold or severe weather conditions, so it is important to keep this in mind when visiting.
The memorial has a path which is suitable for wheelchair users and registered assistance dogs are also permitted into the area.
Visitors are free to sit on the edge of the memorial and refresh their feet in the water as they reflect – but are asked to not walk on the memorial itself.
Where is Princess Diana buried?
Princess Diana was buried on September 6, 1997, in the grounds of her childhood home, Althorp Estate.
It is understood that she is buried in the stately home's Pleasure Garden, on an island in the centre of the home's lake known as The Oval.
