While working in this role he successfully lobbied for the decrease of property tax rates for the Naperville Township.

In 2012, Caldwell worked on Romney's presidential campaign as an advance staffer.

This group is known as the largest Republican county organization in Illinois.
What happened to Gianno Caldwell's brother?
On the weekend of June 25, 2022, Gianno's younger brother was killed.
The political TV personality took to his social media to reveal the tragic news.
Caldwell wrote on his Instagram: "Devastating news: Yesterday was legitimately the worst day of my existence.
"I received a call informing me that my teenage baby brother Christian was murdered on the south side of Chicago yesterday morning.
"After all the things my family has been through never could I have imagined my baby brother’s life would be stolen from him 😭.
"Please keep my family in your prayers."
On June 27, 2022, Caldwell took to his Instagram to ask his followers to call the Chicago Police if they know anything about the killing of his 18-year-old brother Christian Beamon.
