A woman has been fined hundreds of pounds for dropping a cigarette outside a Primark on a busy high street.
Stacy Furmage, 26, was fined £220 after she dropped a cigarette outside a Primark shop in Hounslow, west London, in December 2021.
Mrs Furmage was also ordered to pay £282 in court costs and a £34 victim surcharge by Ealing Magistrates’ court in February this year.
It comes after several people have had to shell out hundreds of pounds for petty littering offences across Britain.

Grandmother Susan Watson, 68, was fined £100 by a council officer for littering after she was seen scattering breadcrumbs for ducks along the River Medway, Kent, in January.
Mrs Watson told the Mirror Online: ‘He went on to say that what I did could be seen as fly-tipping, which is a much bigger offence. It was one slice of bread.’
Olivia Post, from Wales, was also slapped with a £400 fine after she cleaned up rubbish in a car park that had been left by foxes.
But the bag she had put the rubbish in was torn open again, where the council found her name and address and issued her the fine.
She told Wales Online: ‘It’s really upsetting, I hate litter, I find it really distressing. I’m really unhappy about fly tipping and you can see that by virtue of the fact I am out there cleaning up. I can’t believe it.’
