Two little girls have been orphaned after their mother was killed in a suspected domestic violence attack in Bendigo on the weekend, three years after their father was fatally hit by a car.
Logee Osias, 46, died after sustaining serious injuries during an attack at her home in Kangaroo Flat on Sunday night.

Police located a blood-stained knife in the backyard of the family home. A 44-year-old man from Junortoun, in Bendigo, was arrested at a nearby reservoir and taken to hospital for treatment on Monday.
Osias’ two primary school-aged daughters were at home at the time of the alleged attack.
The girls’ father, Timothy Dorrough, died when he was struck by a vehicle after getting out of a taxi on the Calder Highway, near Kangaroo Flat, during a dispute over the fare in May 2020.
Osias was believed to have been separated from Dorrough at the time he was killed.
As well as her two young daughters, the Bendigo woman leaves behind two adult children, believed to be from a previous relationship.
Members of Bendigo’s Filipino community have remembered Osias as a wonderful woman whose life revolved around her two little girls.
Osias was a much-loved member of the Bendigo Filipino Foundation, having been involved with the group for about 10 years.
Member Maria Gillies said the aged care facility worker was always smiling and happy.
She said Osias always had plenty of offers for babysitters for the girls.
“There’s a whole lot of people [that would] help her out when she’s going to work, babysit her little ones because she’s just so friendly,” she said.
Gillies said the Filipino community had rallied behind the family after the death of Dorrough in 2020.
“We’ve seen how her kids have grown up when she’s come to us,” Gillies said. “It’s really tragic.”
Gillies said Osias and her two girls had attended a camping trip with the Filipino community in central Victoria last month.
“Those girls love camping. They used to love camping with their dad, [who] they still miss,” she said.
“I even offered them my tent which [I was] not using because I was planning to go home late [at] night. That was my last conversation with Logee.”
The Bendigo Filipino Foundation will pay tribute to the Bendigo mum during a prayer vigil at Saint Joseph’s Catholic Church on Tuesday evening.
Gillies said the community was invited to attend a prayer vigil for Osias after a mass at the church at 6pm.
Police arrested the 44-year-old man several hours after Osias was found dead following a helicopter search of the area. No charges had been laid on Tuesday.
