She’s certainly got a type!: Alex Zane’s estranged wife Nettie Wakefield, 35, goes public with 23-year-old new lover model Owen McGinnity
Alex Zane’s wife Nettie Wakefield has appeared to confirm her new relationship with Owen McGinnity – a dark-haired model 12 years her junior who bears more than a passing resemblance to her estranged husband.
Nettie and Alex revealed they had split in January, less than six months into their marriage, and it appears both have moved on to new, younger partners.
Sharing an update to her Instagram account, the artist, 35, posted a photo with her tongue stuck out as she joined Mr McGinnity, 23, on a walk in London.
Nettie, who previously dated Poldark heart-throb Aidan Turner and was romantically linked to Robert Pattinson, was said to have been comforted by Owen in the wake of her split from Alex, 44, The Daily Mail’s Richard Eden revealed in January. And now it appears they are official.
Her social media post comes just days after radio star and DJ Mr Zane was seen looking cosy with a mystery woman, who MailOnline later disclosed to be Julia Häxän, a DJ and self-styled ‘rebel gurl’ clothes designer.

Earlier this year, Alex confirmed he had separated from artist Nettie a short five months following their wedding day.
Nettie, whose artworks hang in the Groucho Club, exchanged vows with Alex during the pandemic, but had to limit the number of wedding guests due to Covid restrictions, so had the big party last August.

The artist’s new relationship comes after Alex was all smiles on Thursday as he enjoyed a dog walk with a mystery woman, who MailOnline exclusively revealed as fashion designer and DJ Julia Häxän.
Former T4 host Alex laughed with tattooed Julia as she walked her pet dachshund Lux alongside his pooch Simon, who he co-owns with ex-Nettie, in the capital.
Julia is also one half of London based DJ duo Rebel Gurl Radio, who specialise in promoting ‘women in rock’, alongside close friend and co-star, Sophie Woodard.
The Daily Mail revealed Alex and Nettie had quietly ended their marriage after celebrating their nuptials together in London last summer.
Alex proposed to Nettie in 2018 after a whirlwind year-long romance and the couple were in a relationship for five years before calling it quits.
Announcing their split on Instagram, Alex confirmed that he and Nettie would ‘continue to co-parent our whippet, Simon’, the same dog he was seen walking alongside Julia.
‘At the end of last year we decided to separate,’ Alex wrote on Instagram in January.

In the post Alex explained: ‘We leave each other in the best way possible for two people who have shared incredible experiences, full of love and laughter and as many happy memories as two people can make in that time.
‘We remain best friends despite making the decision to go our separate ways. Our friends and family have been very supportive through this period, and we appreciate all the help we’ve received.’
The Yorkshireman added: ‘Obviously, leaving behind a relationship is never easy, but we move forward knowing we have the other to rely on.
‘It’s as amicable a separation as can be and, of course, we’ll continue to co-parent our whippet, Simon.’
