Amanda Owen reunites with estranged ex-husband Clive after split in new snaps

Clive Owen admits he had ‘huge part’ to play in Amanda split

Amanda Owen and ex-husband Clive Owen have put on a united front after their shock split last year.

The Our Yorkshire Farm stars had stunned fans when they confirmed they were separating after 23 years of marriage.

But the pair, who share nine children, have put their differences aside to reunite to restore iconic Yorkshire property, Anty Johns.

The property had been acquired by the exes when they were together and this week their son Reuben shared a string of snaps which showed them and their family working on the mammoth project.

In the Instagram photos, Clive, 68, is seen in a hi-vis jacket and hard hat while Amanda, 49, also in work gear, poses for a selfie alongside Reuben.

He told his 74,700 followers: “Me and Tom took the day of the diggers to give Mum and dad a hand taking the roof off Anty Johns. One amazing view from the scaffolding. @yorkshireshepherdess @tommy.mcwhirter.”

Fans took to the comment section to share their thoughts on the reunion. One wrote: “Shame they split be nice for the story to continue after buying Auntie Johns,” which was met with another fan replying: “Still hoping they get back together, that’d be a greater story.”

“Hope you’re filming the renovations, it would be amazing,” wrote a third, while a fourth commented: “They should film the work on this can’t wait to see it finished.”

Before the couples parted ways there had been rumours in 2021 that their relationship had been on shaky ground and they confirmed their split the following year.

A short time after, The Sun reported that Amanda had been in a secret relationship with 71-year-old businessman Robert Davies since 2018.

The publication claimed the affair was discovered by the businessman’s wife, Yasumi, who found a love letter written to him for Amanda. In July it was claimed that in an attempt to settle down with Amanda, Robert had begun divorce proceedings with Yasumi.

However, Clive admitted earlier this year that he “behaved badly” towards Amanda and played a “massive part” in the breakdown of their marriage.

The 68-year-old confessed he “made a right mess of things” when he struggled to cope with being in the public eye on Our Yorkshire Farm.

Breaking his silence for the first time on their split on Lorraine in April, Clive, looking red-eyed, said: “It was amazing and successful, I handled it very badly. It was such a change in our life and I sadly made a right mess of things basically and I had a massive part to play in our relationship ending…

“I was ranting and raving and drinking and carrying on…I should have been supportive and I was the completely opposite.

The farmer continued: “I really thought that I needed to say somehow that…”

Asked about the trolling Amanda has received on social media since they announced their split, he said: “It has been really upsetting and Amanda is having a really tough time at the moment.

“I just feel that I can’t sit back and watch all this happen without saying something in her defence.

“She’s a remarkable woman and I made a complete mess of it,” he admitted. “We got to a point where we couldn’t be together anymore. If I had supported her and looked after I am sure things would have been much different…

“We got to a point where we couldn’t get along at all, and so we parted. It is very sad, but it is what it is.”
