Speaking exclusively to Express.co.uk, Angellica Bell, 46, spoke of her friendship with Martin Lewis, 50, as she admitted she regularly checks up on him, particularly with the nation’s current financial pressure. As well as giving his advice to viewers on his show, he answers queries on ITV shows such as Good Morning Britain and This Morning.

The presenter, who has partnered with Actimel this Autumn, praised the financial adviser for his work ethic and supporting her and others.

She said: “That guy works so hard, we have such a good relationship.

“We try and meet for dinner about three times year because he is just so busy.

“He works tirelessly, he takes it on, he really really does. It’s a pleasure to work with him.”

Her caring words come after many expressed their concerns for Martin in recent weeks.

The financial adviser appeared to get emotional on Good Morning Britain last week when he discussed the current mortgage crisis.

Twitter user The Social Sciences wrote: “Someone should probably check in on Martin Lewis.

“He seemed quite stressed the last few weeks while trying to look out for consumers.”

Kazz added: “I worry about Martin Lewis. He is going to burn out.

“I hope he has stress relieving mechanisms because he needs them #gmb.”

“You can see Martin Lewis is stressed to f*****g bits mind,” Abbs wrote.

Angellica added of her co-star: “He really cares and you can see it.

The presenter said she has also gone to Martin for her own financial advice amid worries of being a freelancer.

“He has supported me and he genuinely wants me to do well in my career,” she added.

The pair will be back tackling the nation’s concerns amid rising prices in many sectors later this month.

For now, Angellica has teamed up with fortified yoghurt drink, Actimel, to launch The Actimel Immunity Report, uncovering the nation’s self-reported immunity levels, alongside simple, expert-endorsed tips on how to support their immunity as the seasons change. Click here to find out more.

The report identifies that seven in 10 Brits don’t believe they have strong immunity levels.

Based on the behaviours of 2,000 people, it has been released in a bid to encourage the nation to support their immunity by making small, positive changes.

The former CBBC star said of her involvement: “It’s about making a few simple little changes in your life to make you feel better, because I think if you feel good about yourself, you can take on the world.

“I think mentally and physically, we’re looking out for our future.

“This report highlights that since Covid, we are thinking about [our immune systems] more, but we just need that little bit more encouragement.”
