Great British Bake Off: Syabira is crowned the winner
Sandro Farmhouse has applauded the “diversity” on this year’s line-up of The Great British Bake Off.
The chef and content creator, who appeared on the Channel 4 baking show last year, made it all the way to the Grand Final after weeks of competition.
Speaking exclusively with Express.co.uk, Sandro has revealed what he’s been up to since he appeared on the programme and what he thinks of the current series.
This year, the Great British Bake Off saw a new host as Alison Hammond replaced Matt Lucas. Does Sandro approve?
“Alison’s great. I mean, she’s so funny. She brings a different dynamic to the show,” he started.
“I love that they have more diversity on the hosting judging panel as well. She is a woman, she’s a black woman.
“And she’s loud and exciting. That makes the show just that even more exciting to watch.”
When asked if he would prefer to be in this year’s series, it was a no-brainer for Sandro.
“No,” he replied. “I just love my group so much.
“This group seems nice, but I can’t see not doing it with my group of people.”
Since storming his way to the Bake Off final last year, Sandro has kept himself busy with a new initiative.

The TV star has founded Baking On The Spectrum (BOTS), a programme designed to empower families with children on the autism spectrum.
“It’s to encourage children and young people on the spectrum to eat healthier, to have a healthier diet, and just stop fussy eating because it’s something that parents really struggle with,” he explained.
Before he walked into the Bake Off tent last year, Sandro was originally a support worker with autistic adults and worked as a nanny for three years.
He has worked with brands such as Asda and Google, and baked for high-profile celebrities such as Stormzy.
Sandro currently still lives in East London.
