Viggo Venn crowned Britain’s Got Talent 2023 winner
Britain’s Got Talent winner Vigo Venn has spoken out about his time on the hit ITV show and given an insight into his relationship with judge Simon Cowell.
The Norwegian comedian and clown gained fame for his high-energy routines and wide selection of high-vis jackets.
But whilst viewers at home voted for him to win thanks to his hilarious “one more time” catchphrase, not everyone was impressed.
In a new interview with Radio Times Viggo spoke about how Simon didn’t “like” him.
He said: “People think the show is edited or staged, but Simon [Cowell] really didn’t like me.”

He went on to say: “When he buzzed me, something came down from the comedy gods and I improvised a line: ‘Simon, a grumpy face like that in Norway means you’re doing really well.’”
“I’ve since seen people back home with that on T-shirts.”
During Viggo’s first performance in front of the judges, Simon pressed the red buzzer and dubbed his performance “the worst act of the year”.

However, Viggo remained focused and his final performance landed him the £250,000 prize as well as a chance to perform at this year’s Royal Variety Performance, which will be held in the Royal Albert Hall next month.
During his interview, Viggo also went on to share his plan for revenge against Simon Cowell.
He said: “My evil plan was to take revenge on Simon in the semi-final. We had 4,000 vests for everyone — judges, crew, audience — except Simon.”
He continued: “He grabbed one because he was enjoying it, and on impulse, I took his vest. I was like, ‘No, you only get one if I get to the final!’
Whilst Simon may not have liked Viggo or his vests, the other judges were impressed by his performances.
Alesha Dixon said he “captivated the nation” whilst fellow judge Bruno Tonioli said he had “created one of the most memorable characters since Mr Bean”.
Viggo later admitted that he entered the competition as a joke, saying: “I never in a million years thought that I was going to get to the final, or even win.
“I was doing five-minute open mics, and that’s kind of the length of an audition on Britain’s Got Talent, so I thought it would be funny to enter as a joke.
“It’s kind of surprising for a clown to win because we’re supposed to lose and lose and lose.”
