Blake Lively, 35, might have disappointed some fans last week after she announced she would be skipping the coveted Met Gala 2023.
In a new social media update, the Gossip Girl star revealed what she had been getting up to at home while Hollywood’s best-known faces walked the red carpet.
In view of her 39.6 million Instagram followers, Blake uploaded an impromptu mirror selfie as she posed in a knit sweater.
Along with the snap, Blake, who recently became a mum for the fourth time, wrote: “First Monday in May,” while adding a GIF of two waterfalls over her breasts.
Just days before the iconic event, Blake told reporters: “I will be watching on my couch on Monday.”
The mum-of-four joked that she may just get dressed up for the occasion in her beloved colour-changing gown from last year as she watches on from the comfort of her home.
The actress appeared alongside a slew of other A-listers at the grand re-opening of the Tiffany & Co flagship store on Fifth Avenue.
Just two months ago, the actress gave birth to her fourth child with husband Ryan Reynolds, 46, but showed off her flawless postpartum physique in a skin-tight brown leather dress with a daring neckline and thigh-high slit.
The fashion icon thrilled fans over the years with her Met looks that not only flaunt her eye-popping figure in jaw-dropping couture but also eloquently match the theme.
Her 2022 arrival at the Met, on the arm of her husband, was met with thunderous applause as the actress was the picture of elegance in a strapless copper gown with a lengthy train, large bow and long matching gloves.

However, the actress took it one step further as she paused on the iconic Met stairs, surrounded by her entourage of security for a moment before stepping out in a light green gown with matching green gloves.
In keeping with the theme, In America: An Anthology of Fashion, the Green Lantern star noted that her quick change symbolised the Statue of Liberty and how oxidation changed its colour from copper to a light green.
The Atelier Versace gown went viral for its awe-inspiring colour change but also paid homage to other aspects of New York City.
Hand-painted foil on the train showed the celestial map from the ceiling of Grand Central Station and the designs on the bodice mirrored the Empire State Building.
No detail was overlooked by the movie star as she even requested her tiara have exactly 25 gems, one for each window on the Statue of Liberty.
