Blue singer Simon Webbe reveals wife’s tragic third miscarriage

Blue starSimon Webbe and his wife Ayshen have opened up about their journey to parenthood and have shared the heartbreaking news that they have experienced a third miscarriage.

Simon, 44, and 43 year old Ayshen, who tied the knot five years ago in 2018,welcomed baby Cyan into the world in April 2021 after tragically going through two miscarriages and a failed round of IVF.

To mark Baby Loss Awareness Week, which falls between 9 and 15 October, the couple have opened up about their experience and have encouraged those going through similar not to “go through it alone”.

In an Instagram post shared by the pregnancy and baby loss charityTommy’s, the couple explained how they “never” thought their experience would happen to them and shared the sad news that they’d experienced a third miscarriage.

“This #BabyLossAwarenessWeek, Simon @simonwebbe1 and Ayshen @ayshenwebbe are opening up about their experience to help others going through loss feel less alone,” the post read.

“Simon and Ayshen got married in 2018 and since then, it’s been a complex journey filled with a mixture of emotions for them both.”

The emotional post added that Simon and Ayshen’s journey to becoming parents had “not been easy” for the pair, but that they were “trying to stay positive” throughout it all.

“They had 2 devastating miscarriages and a failed round of IVF before welcoming their daughter, Cyan in 2021,” the post continued. “However, since then they’ve also had another miscarriage and an unsuccessful frozen embryo transfer.”

Following their fertility journey, the pair shone a light on the toll that it had taken on their mental health, with Ayshen struggling with feelings of guilt and Simon failing to give himself the space to process his feelings.

“‘All I wanted was to get my wife through it, I didn’t really have the time to grieve myself’,” he added before encouraging other dads and partners to find their own coping mechanisms and seek help if needed.

One Love singer Simon haspreviously opened up about his fatherhood journey and spoke to OK! in 2021 where he gushed over little Cyan.

“Oh man, my baby's my life. She comes first in everything at the end of the day. I'm getting fit because I want to be able to move around when she starts walking and be able to keep up with her,” he said.

“The old bones are still creaking but you know the boxing is helping me stay healthy and I think it's very, very important to be healthy parents for your kids.”
