Bobby Davro criticises cancel culture on TalkTV
The TV personality opened up about his partner’s “devastating” diagnosis as he watches his fiancee fight through the disease.
In an emotional new interview, Bobby Davro, 64, explained through tears how his long-term partner Vicky Wright is battling pancreatic cancer.
The entertainer said he is now open to talk about his other half’s health woes in a bid to help others in a similar situation.
Despite his heartbreak, Bobby has promised to “smile through the absolute agony” as he shared that “laughter is the best medicine” during trying times.
Bobby explained that Vicky, 63, was diagnosed with the disease last year.
The couple got engaged in December after 12 years together and Vicky said at the time: “I’m on cloud nine.”
Speaking to the Daily Star, Bobby remarked: “To see someone as beautiful as her with this illness is horrific. It’s so sad.”
He went on: “It’s extremely, extremely, extremely painful,” but added he has coped by continuing to work.
The performer has just wrapped up his pantomime show Rapunzel adding it was a useful distraction.

Vicky’s dad died from pancreatic cancer, which is difficult to spot until at an advanced stage.
Dad-of-three Bobby said: “Vicky’s illness is a tragedy, and it’s been a personal and family tragedy until now. But now I hope talking about it can help other people,” adding “It’s really painful”.
He offered some words of encouragement to the “millions of partners” going through a similar situation and assured people to “never, ever let life beat you”.
Bobby got engaged to Vicky in December and the newlyweds celebrated their big news with an engagement party held at The Kings Arms in Surrey.
The former EastEnders star and impressionist was previously married to Trudi Jameson, who he shares three children with.
Bobby was married to Trudi for 10 years before their marriage fell apart in 2003.
In 2015, the comic revealed he was living with his ex-wife and three daughters, and was also in a long-term relationship with Vicky.
Bobby shot to fame in the 1980s with his Saturday primetime telly shows including Bobby Davro On The Box, and Bobby Davro’s TV Weekly.
