Britney Spears has reportedly split from Sam Asghari, after just 14 months of marriage, having been together since 2016.
The actor has reportedly moved out of their Calabasas home, and the Toxic singer has already started looking into the best lawyers, according to Page Six.
The estranged couple, however, has always put on a united front despite split rumours, through the years, especially after Britney’s recent confrontation with an NBA star.
Britney and Sam were having dinner at the Catch restaurant in the ARIA Hotel, Las Vegas when she approached the San Antonio Spurs player, Victor Wembanyama.
As told by the Everytime hitmaker, she approached the NBA star by tapping him on the shoulder, but his security then “backhanded” Britney.

She said: “His security then backhanded me in the face without looking back, in front of a crowd. Nearly knocking me down and [knocking] my glasses off my face.
“I get swarmed by people all the time. In fact, that night. I was swarmed by a group of at least 20 fans. My security team didn’t hit any of them.”
At the time, Wembanyama claimed that he was “grabbed from behind”, saying due to this the “security pushed her away”.
Sam also stuck up for his wife at the time, issuing a statement on Instagram, voicing his frustrations over the incident.

It read: “I am opposed to violence in any form, especially without justification in the defence of yourself or someone else who is unable to defend themselves.
“Self-defense can be unavoidable, but the defence of any woman, especially my wife, is not debatable.
“I consider my reaction subdued considering what occurred, and I hope the man in question learns a lesson and changes his disregard for women.”
In a second post, Asghari noted that the “violent behaviour of an out-of-control security guard should not cast a shadow” on Wembanyama.
He continued: “The blame should fall on the coward who did this, the people who hired him without proper vetting, and a systematic culture of disregard for women within sports and entertainment.
“I can’t imagine a scenario where an unarmed female fan showing any kind of excitement or appreciation for a celebrity would cause her to be physically assaulted, much less being hit in the face for tapping someone on the shoulder.”
Asghari concluded his message, reiterating that he “looks forward” to seeing how the situation gets handled and the “changes” that would hopefully be made.
Las Vegas Metropolitan Police replied to Spears’ filed a police report at the time, citing no arrest or citations had been issued.
