Britney Spears did have a romance with former housekeeper Paul Richard Soliz – but it’s over now after she made a worrying discovery.
The pop sensation, 41, was rumored to be dating Soliz after the pair were spotted hanging out multiple times, and it’s been confirmed they had a “short fling”.
However, it’s now been revealed that Britney dumped him after discovering details about his criminal past.
The 37-year-old was reportedly hired without a background check, which would have revealed that he is a convicted felon.
Earlier this week, Soliz added fuel to the flames when he seemingly confirmed their relationship to Us Weekly calling her a “phenomenal woman” as he was leaving a court hearing for allegedly violating his probation.
Sources close to the 41-year-old have now told the Daily Mail that the mother-of-two is definitively not dating anyone at the moment.
She reportedly dumped Paul after discovering his criminal history and hasn’t been in contact with her former employee since.

They also claimed that the pair weren’t in a true relationship but had just a “short fling after Sam left”, seemingly also denying speculation that Britney had had an affair with the housekeeper.
The sources noted that the Circus hitmaker “did not know about his criminal past” when she “hooked up with him”.
After Sam Asghari filed for divorce from Britney following just 14 months of marriage, the singer was photographed multiple times with Paul, going to restaurants and as he picked her up from the airport following her trip to Cabo San Lucas.
However, the source claimed even their final interaction at the airport wasn’t Britney’s plan as she didn’t ask for or expect him to be there.

They claimed the singer is simply “enjoying her freedom” and “processing” her split with the 29-year-old model, who she first started dating in 2016.
According to Page Six, Paul was first hired without a background check roughly a year ago to take on cleaning duties around Britney’s property, such as cleaning toilets and picking up trash.
The outlet reported that he had been charged with multiple misdemeanors over the last decade, like disturbing the peace and driving without a license, as well as felony possession of a firearm last December.
