Newlywed Britney Spears "is on a mission" to start a new family as soon as possible with husband Sam Asghari and has reportedly vowed that she would like three more children.
The 40 year old married former personal trainer Sam, 28, in a star-studding wedding ceremony at her house in Los Angeles on 9 June, a month after she tragically suffered a miscarriage.
Britney informed guests at her nuptials that she won't give up hope on expanding her brood after the “devastating" loss and said that she was "overwhelmed with emotion" about finally being free to marry and have children with her partner of six years.
The popstar shares two sons Sean Preston, 16, and Jayden James, 15, with ex husband Kevin Federline.
"Britney was telling guests that she is keen to start over and have a whole new family with Sam,” a member of staff at the singer’s wedding revealed.
They continued: "In an ideal world she wants another three kids, ideally girls – but obviously happy no matter what happens. She said that giving birth and being a mother was something she wants to enjoy again.
"In the past things didn't work out ideally, but now with Sam it is a chance to build a new life and family. Sam is very much on board to start a family too."
Britney was able to marry her actor fiancé following her release from her 13-year conservatorship last year.
The source added: "Her friends were taking it all in. And even though it was a time of celebration, there was also a sentiment of upset that she has not been able to enjoy her freedom for so long.
"But among all the cheers and the jubilation, there is uncertainty about what is next for them. A lot of those in attendance seemed like they were meeting Sam for the first time, rather than being close."
Britney’s sons did not attend her wedding and neither did her parents Jamie and Lynn Spears, brother Bryan or sister Jamie-Lynn Spears.
Another guest recalled Britney not being “bothered” about her family not being there, as they said: "With nobody from her family, Britney walked alone down the aisle. It didn't bother her, because the day was all about her and Sam coming together."
The bride had great company in replacement of her family members as celebrity pals Paris Hilton, Selena Gomez and Madonna, showed up to the support the star at her nuptials.
Speaking about the big day to Vogue, Britney said: "We really wanted to make this a small and beautiful moment with family and friends. We wanted warm and feminine colours including blush, white, cream, and gold, and a lot of various shades of pinks and reds."
The Toxic singer wore a custom gown by Versace with an off-the-shoulder look, with 62 carats in bridal jewellery from Stephanie Gottlieb, who also designed the couple's wedding bands.
Britney chose a stack of two bands to go along with her engagement ring and Sam went with two platinum bands.
The couple were seated under a velvet-draped tent for the ceremony, to which the bride arrived in a rose-covered carriage pulled by a white horse.
Britney showed off a number of outfit changes during the party after the ceremony, all designed by Versace, before the newlyweds left in a Rolls-Royce at 10:15 as the guests surrounded the car with sparklers.
An insider said that the pair spent their first night as husband and wife at the Four Seasons in Westlake.
