Britney Spears has once again slammed the entertainment industry and said she would rather "rather stay home and s**t in my f*****g pool.”
After the singer’s conservatorship ended in June 2021, many fans questioned whether Britney would return to the world of music.
But in an impassioned Instagram post on Monday, Britney did not hold back and seemingly squashed any hopes of returning to the stage.
She wrote: "After 14 years of telling me no to what I wanted… it's ruined for me… but that wasn't the worst part… the worst part was my family locking me up in that place for 4 months… Jesus f***ing Christ… I'd like to see somebody tell Jennifer Lopez to sit down 8 hours a day 7 days a week… no car, own security of 5 years telling me at my own door I can't walk outside for 4 months…no door for privacy… and watched me change naked and shower…"
The 40-year-old mother of two continued to say that doing what she wants to do is easier said than done.
"Pssss… you say do what you want to do now," she explained. "Really 14 years later after being humiliated… it's WAY too late for that… again I'd rather stay home and s*** in my f***ing pool than join the entertainment business."
But the Toxic singer did not stop there and soon uploaded another monologue for her 42 million followers to read.
"They ruined it for me, embarrassed me, and made me feel like absolutely nothing,” she added.
While the Mississippi-born artist seemingly confirmed her step away from music, she did upload a singing video soon after her rant that confused some fans.
People flooded the comment sections with supportive messages and best wishes, with one person writing: “You deserve the best I love and I always support you.”
“A world without your music, performances and artistry is a sad place,” another pointed out.
Despite her claims, music producer Benny Blanco told TMZ earlier this month that the two are working on new music together.
They first collaborated on Britney’s 2008 Circus album, which featured songs like Womanizer and If U Seek Amy.
“I actually recently just reached out to try to start working on some stuff. Like a month ago. I hope [to work with Britney] soon… We were talking about trying to do something. I love her new things she put out. She's incredible. I hope she is doing it,” he explained.
